Find answers to common questions about Pro Ceramic Coating Spray
A: It is a liquid polymer spray infused with silicon dioxide (SiO2) that chemically bonds to your vehicle's clear coat. It creates a durable, hydrophobic (water-repelling) shield that protects your paint from UV rays, dirt, bird droppings, and water spots while adding a deep, glossy shine.
Depending on the specific formula, environmental conditions, and how frequently you wash your vehicle, a quality ceramic spray typically lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months.
Traditional carnauba wax sits on top of the paint and breaks down quickly, usually lasting only 4 to 8 weeks. Ceramic sprays actually bond with the clear coat at a microscopic level, offering significantly higher heat resistance, superior durability, and much stronger water-beading properties.
Application is generally quick and straightforward:
Wash and completely dry your vehicle out of direct sunlight.
Spray the product directly onto a single panel or onto a clean microfiber towel.
Wipe the product evenly across the surface.
Immediately flip the towel to a dry side (or use a second clean towel) and buff away any remaining residue until the paint is clear and glossy.
A:
Over Wax: It is not recommended. Wax will prevent the SiO2 polymers from properly bonding to your clear coat. You should strip old wax before applying a ceramic spray.
Over Professional Coatings: Yes! Ceramic sprays make excellent "toppers" or maintenance sprays to rejuvenate the slickness and water-beading properties of an older, professionally applied ceramic coating.
